Catherine has been teaching as a volunteer at  the Community Quilting Project  once a week at Harbor House Ministries in Oakland for the last 5 years.  The quilters are all refugees and immigrant women from Laos, Cambodia, and Latin America who are also enrolled in the English as a second language class. The project has created a true community for women to come together and support each other in spite of their cultural and language differences.

Exhibits and shows organized by Catherine  promote the selling of the quilts:  The Celebration of Craftswomen at Fort Mason in San Francisco,  Live Oak Park Fair, California Prudential Realty and  the Chocolate and Chalk Art Festival in Berkeley to name only a few.

Quilts are for sale on Etsy.com. Go and visit the site, many different quilts for sale and  80% of the sale goes directly to the students.
