Lecture at AAQGO

Following on the tail of last weekend’s Voices in Cloth, I am now preparing for a lecture at the African American Quilt Guild of Oakland, on Saturday, March 26th. (No worries about the name listed on their calendar – Fran Royce – it’s really me and not my sister!!)

I’m very excited and honored, having known two of the members for almost as long as I have been quilting –  Dolores Vitero Presley and her sister, Julia Vitero.

Dolores and Julia have donated fabric for Catherine’s work at Harbor House and volunteered every year for the Textile Mavens library events.

My lecture is titled “Quilts – Following the Inspiration.” I’ve been gathering and piling my quilts in my daughter’s bedroom all week. Luckily for me her college spring break was last week!

Wish I could have been there. I’m sure everyone who was there learned a lot from you and your beautiful quilts. Lolly
