DSCN3061           We did it again!

And what a successful event!

DSCN3066The Story Room was full of life and laughter with so many patrons of the library participating in making quilted bookmarks.  The most amazing part of the program was the diversity of the “quilters” which also brought an immense diversity of creative bookmarks.

A huge thank you  to our indispensable volunteers and the energy of librarian extraordinaire, Debbie Carton, we could not have done it without you.

The bookmarks will be displayed at the 34th Annual Quilt Show of the Berkeley Central Public Library, along with many quilts in all sizes, traditional and outrageous from May 1st to June 7th.  Be sure to stop by and grab a catalog so you can read the story behind each quilt.

I love this idea. How did you get such a diverse group to use sewing machines and to be creative??? Good job.
