Quilting Caleb’s Star

String Star

Caleb’s Star

Caleb’s string star is quilted.

I started “in the ditch” between the strings in the center square and then decided to add a few wavy lines through the middle of some of the larger strings.

I also added at least one wavy line in each star point.

Nest step, the background. Wavy lines between two close straight lines was the answer.

I love the finished look. Those wavy lines added just enough variety and it’s quilted enough without losing that cuddly feeling. I think I hit the sweet spot on this one. Here’s hoping Caleb and his mom think so too.
