The 35th Annual Quilt Show at the Central Library is in full bloom.  54 colorful quilts are displayed on the 2nd floor till June 5th.  I went to the reception for the opening of the show with 3 of my students from Harbor House. Gisela’s beautiful Baskets is right above Bunlay.  Jane’s Kids and Houses is to the right and Bunlay’s Kids and Houses at the Beach is on the left.  I am sorry that the photo does not show the quilts well.  You will have to go in person to be able to appreciate them fully.

Fern and I – the Mavens- have small pieces, but so much fun to be displayed in the cases close to Debbie Carton’s sweet O is for the Only One I See.  Debbie is the extraordinaire organizer of this wonderful show.

This coming Saturday, May 21st, from 2-5pm, the Mavens, plus a few wonderful volunteers will help you make a book bag out of repurposed materials.  It’s free but you do need to register.   Details on the  Berkeley Public Library website.

Hope to see many of you there.  Tell your friends and spread the word.
